In the first article, the author questions if a college degree is even worth much anymore. The article states, "That piece of paper no longer means very much, and employers know that". The author expresses that work experience is the way to stand out not a college degree and many students who aren't skilled become degree holders. I strongly disagree with this article for many reasons. I believe you can not get many jobs still if you do not have a college degree. My major is early childhood education and I know for a fact that they do not just let anyone become a teacher. You could probably become a substitute teacher without a degree but not a full time teacher. The article states that experience makes one stand out,but one can not get into a school building to get the experience they need without some sort of paperwork stating your clearances and what school you currently are intending. Due to the fact there are so many that want to become teachers the authority would choose someone with a college degree because they were taught how to handle children and are highly intelligent from their university. I believe having a college degree is very valuable and this article is wrong.

The second article covers the same topic as the first, whether college is important or not? This article I agree with more because it states that employers prefer college degrees and even if one is becoming more knowledgeable than they need to for their job it is not a bad thing. I agree though, depending on what one wants to do with their life a college degree may not be valuable for all.

In the last passage they go off of the second passage's concept. If we tell students they do not need to go to college we are then lowering expectations for them which is not right. If one wants to further their education they should be aloud to. After reading all three passages, I still stick to my opinion and believe a college degree does help individuals get jobs and is very important.
